Bhuri is the biggest liar I’ve ever met.

This cat acts like I never feed him. If any guest comes over, he suddenly becomes weak, slow, and “starving.” He’ll sit near them and meow like he hasn’t eaten in days.

And people fall for it.

“Poor thing, he must be hungry,” they say, while I’m standing there like, “He just ate 10 minutes ago.”

But Bhuri doesn’t care about truth. He cares about extra food.

He’s also incredibly clumsy. He tries to act cool, jumping onto shelves and tables, but half the time he misses and pretends it was intentional. Like, “Yeah, I meant to fall.”

Despite all this, he has a habit that melts my heart. Every night, he waits until I lie down, then slowly comes and curls up near my feet. Not too close, not too far.

It’s like his way of saying, “I trust you… but don’t get emotional about it.”

Fair enough.
